NEWS FLASH:

I went to UniLodge today once again, just to check in and see if anything has happened, and because Dad is currently talking to Oxy about the payment because Oxy is arguing that we reimburse them for the whole semester's rent that they sent to UniLodge, since they thought the room wouldn't ever be filled (which is TOTALLY unfair, I do believe, making me pay for that awful place they sent me to when I am not even staying there) but, when I got there and asked about my room, they told me...

My room was filled!!!!!!

Yesterday!!!! AGGHHHHAWOFJSRGOJVNINRFOJAEOGJIBVNSL Best news ever!!!! So my lease is officially broken and they are going to send Oxy the money that would have paid for the rest of the semester! So pretty much, if Dad and I have to pay for what Oxy sent to UniLodge for the couple months that the room wasn't filled, it will only be about half what it would have been for the full semester. which is GREAT.
See a while ago, Dad was looking at the amount of money Oxy was saying we would need to pay them for UniLodge, since they are arguing that we would have to cover it, and he told me that the cost of this might keep him from coming to Melbourne in November, which has been our plan since, like, when I heard I got into study abroad in like March. But now it is way more likely that my Dad will be able to come, even if we have to pay for UniLodge. Hooray!

That news just made my day. It was fabulous! I just feel like I am completely free of UniLodge now, which is a wonderful feeling. I just have to turn my key in. I can't believe they didn't call me to tell me someone was taking the room! Jeez. I mean, their whole organization was just weird to me from the start so...
